With what seems like an endless debate around what constitutes as the perfect penis size, you might be surprised to find out what women actually prefer when it comes to size, as scientists claim to have found the perfect penis size, thanks to a 3D printing.

Recently published in the PLOS One journal, researchers from the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of New Mexico made use of 3D – printed phalluses (penis), to visualize or size up what women’s preference is when it boils down to size.

Women prefer ‘slightly above average’, so you needn’t worry about it causing you sleepless nights, if you fear getting the giggles during a sexual encounter as researchers say that sizes aren’t characterized correctly in the first place.

However they did find that women’s preference may differ by the context of the relationship.

According to Medical Daily, “When flaccid and ‘stretched’ penis sizes are characterized, largely by self-measurement, they predict erect size surprisingly poorly. Yet there are relatively few studies of erect penis size.”

They designed 33 variations of erect penises based on the average American erect penis length, which is ‘6 inches, with a circumference of 5 inches,’ that would be 15 cm long. They were then sorted into baskets for 75 women to choose from, which yielded various results depending on the context of the relationship.

One penis was considered ideal for a long-term partner, the other was ideal for a one night stand. Women were then asked to fill in questionnaires which included questions about sexual history, penis size, and orgasm rates to name but a few.

Prior to them being asked to complete a 10-minute computer task, this assessed their memory recall of their picks.

Medical Daily, says that, ‘the results showed women were “especially skilled” at recalling penis circumference.’ With the findings suggesting that women mainly prefer a smaller size penis in a long-term relationship compared to a one-time partner.
