Most men believe that women are more interested in the size of their penis than the actual pleasure that could be derived from it. However, researchers who have delved into this matter found that men make a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to size.
So what do women care about when it comes to your penis and what makes a ‘nice’ to look at penis?
A recent Swiss study, published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine asked women what they think would make a normal- looking penis; particularly with men who are affected by “distal” hypospadias.
Hypospadias is “a birth (congenital) defect in which the opening of the urethra is on the underside of the penis.” The opening or meatus is usually located at the tip of the penis. According to the American Urological Association, “hypospadias is a relatively common birth defect found in one out of every 200 boys.”
105 women partook in the study ranging from various age groups, involving 16-20, 25-30 and 40-45, to answer a questionnaire about certain characteristics of penile appearance.
According to Medical Daily, “This included whether hypospadias-affected surgically repaired genitals (HASRGs) was considered as normal-looking as circumcised genitals. Participants were asked to view photos of 10 HASRGs and 10 circumcised genitals and rate the importance of certain penile aspects.”
The study found that women did not consider “distal” hypospadias a factor with regards to penile appearance, they also found that men who received surgery in order to correct hypospadias; said it looked similar to a circumcised penis.
Although men who had “proximal”hypospadias – a condition where the meatus or opening is located ‘anywhere between the middle of the shaft and the base, or even in the scrotum’, where deemed less usual.
Dr Norma Ruppen, lead researcher said: “The information may help prevent the development of shame or impaired genital perceptions about penile appearance”.
